Is AVIRA now an advertising software or adware?
When you connect to the internet, Avira free won’t let you click anywhere until you read the ad in the redirected webpage. I struggled for about 30 minutes going to my emails with an urgency but I could not meet the deadline of the email because of AVIRA blocking me on the way. I decided to let it go for good and I don’t want to hear anything about AVIRA antivirus anymore.
On my opinion the vendor could have provided option to read the ad or to ignore so as not to steal the client time. This on my opinion not acceptable even if the stuff if free, it doe not mean to steal people time and increase unwanted stress while try to meet your deadline.
There are plenty of alternatives for AVIRA in the market which are:
1st. AVAST – worthy 2 times to be called free stUff than the former
Avast bought AVG in 2016, and the two computer security giants’ formed a malware-detection engines with remarkable improvements. Avast Free Antivirus has a friendly interface, a nearly imperceptible system impact and useful added features which include a password manager and a network scanner. Now that its antivirus protection is almost perfect, I recommend Avast Free Antivirus without hesitation.
2nd. BitDefender – Intelligent and Autoset Engine, you will love it
Bitdefender’s malware-detection offer intelligent and auto set configurations which is suitable for antivirus novice users. The free antivirus covers all the basics features and has a very low computer-system-performance impact.
Bitdefender Antivirus Free Edition’s interface can be hard to figure out and offers few options to setup. No option to schedule a scan. It’s best for novice users who want a set-it-and-forget-it security solution.
3rd. AVG – Merely similar to AVIRA unethical advertising behavior
AVG and Avast are now merged to form a malware-detection engine that has the same level to those of industry leaders such as Kaspersky and Bitdefender while having a light computer-system-performance impact.
AVG AntiVirus Free has fewer useful features than Avast Free Antivirus. Although AVG’s wide range of customization options is still available but you get forced to upgrade to paid AVG software.
